Anthony Ronald Tisovec

Anthony "Tony" Tisovec, beloved husband of Cecilia Tisovec of Las Vegas, NV was taken up by God on May 21, 2022. Tony and Ceil were high school sweethearts that met over 65 years ago and celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary last November. Tony was born January 28, 1940. He was a kind, thoughtful and loving person who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and was always there to help others with uplifting and positive messages. He was an avid bodybuilder and was named to various titles including Mr. Cleveland in 1962, Mr. Ohio in 1965 and even competed in Mr. America. He attended St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, Ohio where he excelled at football and track. He also spent 6 years in the Marine Corp Reserves. He then started his career as a fireman in Cleveland, Ohio before moving to Las Vegas and spending 27 years on the Las Vegas Fire Department before retiring as a Captain in 2000. Following his retirement, he focused on his hobbies such as record collecting with an expert knowledge of the music of the 50's and 60's. He also spent well over 25 years studying the Old and New Testament of the Bible and developed a love of God and a deep seated knowledge of bible history.

He is survived by his wife Cecilia, his sister Deborah L. Tisovec and his brother Kenneth J. Tisovec ( wife Janice and and daughter Emma) and Cecilia's brothers and sisters, the Brunecz family (Joseph, Arthur, Carol Ann, Nancy, Lucy, Roberta, Gregory and Debbie). His parents Anthony J. Tisovec - Father and Theresa R. Tisovec (nee Turk) - Mother were previously deceased.

and his interment will be at Palm Northwest Cemetery in the Santo Nino Catholic section.

A funeral mass for Anthony will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89117. Following the funeral mass will be a committal service from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
