Anthony "Tony" Accola, age 80, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Tony was born May 20, 1944 in New Jersey to parents George and Frances Accola. He was raised in New Jersey and spent much of his adult life there before relocating to Las Vegas in 1996.
Tony Accola is remembered as a loving man who would do anything for his family. He just wanted them to be happy. He loved his wife of 50 years, Gail, very much and would do anything to make her smile. He was a do it yourselfer. He would paint walls, work on cars and any other project he or his family needed done. He notably worked on his daughter Brianne's 1965 Ford Mustang, in additional to his El Camino and Corvette. He was known to be a coffee drinker and loved word search puzzles. He also loved his dogs and disliked windy days (as his hair had to always be perfect).
Tony Accola was a member of the Local Union 159 Painters and Drywall Finishers and from 1975 to 1996 was the owner and operator of Tony Accola Paper Hanging and Painting.
In addition to his parents, Tony is preceded in passing by his sister, Rae Puleo; and brother-in-law, Nick Puleo.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gail Accola; children, Anthony "TJ" (Michelle) Accola, Lindsey (Bobby) Carpenter, and Brianne Accola; grandchildren, Anthony "AJ" Accola, Kaitlyn Accola, and Mckenzie Carpenter; step grandchildren, Nathan (Katelynn) Evans and Alexandra "Ali" Evans.
A visitation for Anthony will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, followed by a funeral service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
