Life Reflections of Annie Mae Anderson
Annie Mae Anderson departed this life on Sunday August 13th, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada. By the grace of God, we were able to make 92 years of precious memories with her. She was born September 17th, 1930, in Winnsboro Louisiana to Sophie Singleton and David Lee Senior. Both of whom have preceded her in death.
Annie Mae attended Franklin Parish Training School in Louisiana and moved to Las Vegas in 1953. There she met and married Emmet (Bo) Anderson, who also precedes her in death. She was active member at New Revelations under Pastor Darnell Horne. She was a God-Fearing woman most certainly and baby she could dress you couldn’t tell her nothing when she put her suits on. She was coming to step. She was an amazing woman, and you knew anytime you came to her house it was always something on the stove and some dessert. You truly will be missed.
While living in Las Vegas, Annie was employed in the hotel industry for many years as an executive housekeeper manager before retiring in 1992. Madea also known as Granny leaves to cherish her memory 5 sons: Joe Washington (preceded her in death), Billy Lee, Larry Washington, Jackie Lee, Jarvis Washington (Cathy Washington); daughter Shirley Cameron. Sisters: Gloria (who precedes her in death) Frankie (Rafael), Maxine and Rosie. Brothers: Verdell (Margaret) , Corneal (Dorothy), John (Gulda), Robert (Janice) and Lugean (Lillie) Annie Mae is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
