Dear Kelly family members.  I was blessed with a beautiful friendship with Anne, and I am grateful that she introduced me to her wonderful family and the Country of Ireland.  Mick was an excellent pen pal for a number of years.  There was so much love in this family.  Thank you for allowing me to accompany Anne home on two separate occasions.    
I was happy to have Mr. & Mrs. Kelly along with Eileen and her daughter, stay at my apartment in Malden.  It's great to know that they were able to enjoy time with her in her adopted City of Boston.

Anne was a phenomenally creative person in her work as a hair colorist and in her art.  I met Anne in the 1990s when she shared a salon with another hairstylist.  I soon realized I wanted Anne to do my hair and she did.  Over time, we became friends beyond the trips to her salon.

Throughout the years, we talked about our lives and what we had learned and loved.   I will always remember the bits of wisdom she shared with me.  She had a way of lightening others' loads with her laughter and love of life.  Frequently, she would talk about her family in Ireland and in Europe and their lives.  

We shared our love of animals and their wonderful behaviors.   She was such a giving person in so many ways.  She painted and donated a painting for the Springer Spaniel Rescue art fundraiser a few years ago.  It raised much-needed funds to help the dogs.  

Over the years, we went to dinner and events beyond the professional connection of being her client.  On our last outing in early spring, we talked about our love of Zion National Park, where Bob and she had gone for a special time.  She loved the spiritual feelings she got from that beautiful place.  We had hoped to go last fall for a day trip but she was too weak from the chemo treatments.  

I know she loved Bob with all her heart.   She told her doctors that she wanted to live and would try the experimental chemo.   I believe it was because of Bob and her art that she wanted to continue to live.  She had so much more to share with the world.

I miss Anne and wish she had had more time.  I would have enjoyed another long conversation on the way to Zion because, with Anne, it was one lively and fun conversation.  

Dearest Bob, 

It has been a while since we spoke, and when you broke the sad news about Anne's passing, Carmen and I were devastated.  Your loss is our loss - Anne was such a lovely person inside out and her cheerfulness was infectious. The memorable times we spent together when we meet up for boxing assignments will forever remain in our hearts.

On Sunday Jan. 24, a Mass will be offered in our parish for Anne's eternal repose.  "Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her, may she rest in peace".

We love you Bob, be strong - Anne is watching over you.

I was so sad and sorry to hear of my good friend Jane Anne Sheridan passing. I got to know Anne through the Colonel many years ago, and she always made me feel like I was family. 

In 2013 I was so blessed to receive one of Anne beautiful oil portrait of me which I have hanging up on the wall at home, thank you Anne. 

After all these years talking to Anne on the phone, when I would call to speak with the Colonel, my wife Danielle and I had the pleasure of meeting Anne in person at Nevada first annual Boxing Hall of Fame in August 2013. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with you “Colonel” at this sad and difficult time.

Anne Sheridan was a dear friend whose death has devastated me.  

I met her when she and Bob arrived in Las Vegas to live permanently. We quickly became friends and I went to her various salons over the next twenty-plus years.  Wherever Anne went, I went. Besides the obvious reason of needing a haircut, it became more of an experience. We talked and talked throughout my salon appointment. We talked about life, our values, Ireland, US politics, and, of course, Bob. We laughed frequently about Bob’s exploits, but it was OK for both of us because we shared a common love for Bob. My love for Bob was that of a friend, but Anne was his soulmate.  She was a loyal person to her many friends, family and Bob.  Her love for Bob couldn’t have been expressed in a more profound way than her collective efforts to take care of Bob through his successes, ups, downs, and health issues. 

It didn’t take me long to love Anne. She was a fierce friend who really cared about me. That was her magic. She cared greatly and loved greatly. I will make every effort to join Bob for Anne’s burial in Ireland. I’d like to meet her lovely family who I heard so much about.

Anne and I painted together in two different groups, oil and watercolor.  I named a character in my novels for her - Jane Anne Kelly is a hairstylist in my historical fiction.

Farewell to an Artist: Jane Anne Sheridan

Jane Anne embarks on a grand new adventure
Her ebullience will be remembered and missed.
Her artist’s eye captured life without censure,
Intricate brushstrokes flowed by flick of hand and wrist.

She saw angels in abstracts. Color-washes of rain
In free-flowing hues of varying tints reflected
The greens of Ireland, the sunsets of Spain.
Paint followed her spark in ways unexpected.

Now the endless vistas of the universe vast
Await the impressions to be framed in her mind
As if her hand could translate the light cast
O’er all creation, all stars that have shined.

The artworks Jane Anne created will live on
As does her eternal spirit of joy and love
Her heart spreads as the angel wings she now dons
Symbolized by the soaring flight of a dove.

I worked with Anne for the majority of my hairdressing career at multiple salons. She always was such a vivacious joy to be around and taught me many things. Her paintings were always so beautiful. Her clients all loved her and she was always pushing herself no matter her age to be ahead of the game and trends. Her loss is tragically felt through the hair community and she will be sorely missed. 

Dear Bob & All the Family & Friends of Anne,
      Anne has always been a burst of sunshine, all the years I have known her. She has always been so filled with love & caring, she was always supportive. 
      Anne always had a strength that was to be admired & modeled. She has been a gift to all who have known her and I will always be grateful for her.
      We need to remember that she will always be present in our hearts & mind. She will continue to live on in those places as well as in her artwork & the memories that she has given.

I had the pleasure of working with Anne for many years here in Las Vegas. She was a beautiful woman inside and out, one of the most positive people I have ever met. Her work was beautiful and her never ending quest to learn and grow was very inspiring to me. She never missed a class, and was always happy to share her extensive knowledge, and was just truly lovely and loving. You will be sorely missed by me.

I met Anne at a hair cutting course in Ireland in the early 70's. We became friends and I visited her in Benalmadena Spain a few times where she had another successful salon.  We did have lunch together near a salon that she worked at in Vegas some years ago. We had so much fun and chatted more than ate. So much catching up to be done. Unfortunately on my last trip through Vegas we were unable to meet as Anne was busy with a prior Church event so we didn't have a chance to see each other.

Dearest Anne missed you dearly since my move to Reno, but I have the Teddy Bear painting you gave me at that time. It is holding a red heart, looking sad and is from you to me. It hangs on the wall by my bed and is a continual and special reminder of how loving you were. Please give my love to my Mom and daughter in heaven and May Your Memory Be Eternal.
 

I first met Anne when she did my hair.  My daughter, Sarah, introduced us.  We hit if off from the start, I think because were are redheads, but also because of our wicked senses of humor.  I always called her an angel inside and a leprechaun outside.     Anne made me a tile with wolves that she painted as a gift to me.  I made her two angels because she needed to have guardians to watch over her, when she first found the lump and another to see her through treatment.  They gave her such pleasure.  Anne loved you Bob and her dog was her joy, too.   Our loss is Heaven's gain.  We will never forget you Anne.

Dear Bob,
I met Anne at Solo Salon here in Henderson when she did my hair and immediately felt a bond with her. Shortly thereafter found out I had breast cancer and she shaved my head as I was loosing my hair due to chemo.  She was so supportive and we kept in touch by text when she found her cancer.  She was a bright light on this earth and always found a way to give to others through her strength and positivity.  She talked about you often as it turned we shared the same cardiologist.   I’m so grateful I met her and know that the angels in heaven have a special place for her at their table.   I will miss her wonderful sense of humor.  God bless you and your family.

Dear Colonel,
There was a sound of thunder the  other day, but “Mother Nature “ said “No“that’s Saint Patrick doing an angelic jig.....He was so happy his favorite Colleen,  Annie,arrived from the states. The cheering was as loud as a wedding party a few years ago at Billy Tse’s Chinese restaurant in Revere,  Mass. Glory be..where is her mate? That boxing lad?  He is absolutely the funniest!  He had the whole crowd laughing when he gave the eulogy at Mike Sannella’s  funeral —-in church, mind you. When the final count is in and a beautiful angel has her thumb on the scale, you’ll make the grade to join your beloved, my friend.

I was fortunate to meet Jane "Annie" only once, nevertheless, I always knew she was at the Colonel's side at each show we did together.
Colonel Bob Sheridan has been my friend and Mentor  for some 25 years, and I will always stand by his side whenever he calls.
Heaven is a better place now that Annie has taken her rightful place as one of the Lord's Amazing Angels.

Annie Sheridan was a beautiful Irish soul. Annie was warm, caring and loving but most of all she was a great life partner to my dear friend the Colonel. 
Having moved to Las Vegas with my family in 2004 Annie was always a constant in our lives. I have many fond memories of the lovely Annie. 
 Annie and Bob shared many Christmas and Thanksgiving Day's with our family. Annie had no children (only the Colonel and Lucy) and would love watching the Barry children, Jordy, Taylor and Mitch grow from little people to mature adults.  I believe she took a lot of pleasure at watching them bloom and they all loved her dearly. 
Annie always had a very special bond with Jordy and had regularly cut and styled her hair. Annie would often give Jordy little gifts. Annie loved the Christmas Day debates that the Colonel would have with Jordy. It became a yearly ritual.
Memories from the early pool party days to the ruckus of St Paddy's Day celebrations with her Irish husband and his mates, will always stay strong in my mind.
Annie will always be missed and remembered and dearly loved by all those who were fortunate to know her.
Rest in Peace our darling Annie.

Annie was family to me, and I will always be grateful for the countless memories that we have shared together. It is hard to imagine not spending another Christmas with her, having her style my hair, or simply talking with her. She always made time to talk with me and was very thoughtful -- often giving me gifts. When I use a purse she gave me or wear a top she passed on to me, I always think of her generosity of spirit.  I treasure all of the memories that we share together, and am so grateful to have known Annie. I loved hearing her talk about her art -- one of my favourite pieces that she painted was of a girl's blue eyes in winter gear. I wish I had purchased it when I had the chance, but I will always have her art in my heart. Her talents, kindness, and impact will never be forgotten. I love you, Annie. 

Dear Colonel and family of Anne's I'm so sorry for your loss.  It is so hard to believe that she has left this earth so soon.  I always thought I would see her again.  I am grateful for the times I was together with my dear friend, Anne.  We had so much fun on the two trips we were together in Ireland.  I'm always going to cherish our "girlfriend" outings. Colonel, I am so sorry and deeply saddened by the loss of Annie,  the love of your life.  It was wonderful times when the three of us were together and I love how she smiled upon realizing I was (almost) as crazy as you.  As you could, and  did, say anything that came to your mind, I saw the love she had for you as she laughed at something you said. Annie was about people, her family and you. Both of you knew the other was your soulmate, the love of a lifetime. These days don't come with instructions, my friend, so know that you are not alone and that Annie has already heard a few "Get Outta Here's" up in Heaven telling a story about you. Love you, my pal.  

To Anne’s family. I was extremely fortunate to have meet Anne seven years ago in Vegas. I am from Ireland too, and to have an Irish Colleen friend like Anne, was beyond a blessing! I had just become a mum and moved to Vegas from Boston, and I always said my mum who I lost when I was younger, led me to meet Anne at a time I truly needed a friend. Myself and my family are just devastated, Anne was family to me here. She was my touch stone and dear dear friend. Because of Anne I put my daughter in Catholic school this year to make sure she has religion in her life...it was breaking my heart seeing her getting no religious education here in the states. My seven year old daughter Saoirse grew up with her “Auntie Anne” as a big part of her life, and she will continue to be her guide, I will make sure she is never forgotten. God bless us all and help us, I know Anne is still with us, but I miss her terribly already. Please let me know about the services in Ireland when we are out of this terrible pandemic I am in touch with Bob, and we will plan to come to Ireland and please god meet you all in the future. Colonel, so so  sorry to hear about Annes passing. We had so many great times in Vegas and of course the famous cruise it is hard to believe that both June and Anne are gone. They really enjoyed each others company and helped make memories that we now have to remember them by. Stay strong my friend, the burden is heaviest at first but time will help it to lighten.
