Andrew "Andy" Schuster, 89, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2015. He was born February 1, 1926 in New Ulm, Minnesota and resided in Las Vegas for the past 38 years. Andy served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He married the love of his life on March 26, 1951. Andy had a passion for his family and his community. He held a position on the Mankato City Council for 15 years. He was voted Young Man of the Year by the Junior Chamber of Commerce in 1961. He retired from the insurance business (Mankato, MN) and enjoyed part ownership in Frank's Bar on Tropicana (Las Vegas). He volunteered with the March of Dimes and opened up the 1st Multiple Sclerosis Las Vegas Chapter. His happy memories will live forever in the hearts of his loving wife of almost 64 years Rosemary; sister, Alice Mance; brother, Victor (Bernie) Schuster; sons William (Linda) Schuster, Robert (Amber) Schuster; grandchildren, Andrew (Kari) Schuster, Amy (Dustin) Kulseth, Adam Schuster, Ashley (Jeff) Crossland and Danny Schuster; great-grandchildren Allie and William Schuster, Kapri Kulseth and Cooper and Ethan Crossland. Services will be held on Friday, March 13th at 12:00pm at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. Donations can be made in his honor to the National Alzheimer's Association.
