A loving wife, mother, and friend
Amalia (Molly) Susana Mancha, 53, a long-time resident of the Las Vegas area, passed away on July 6, 2018 at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center.
Amalia was born February 6, 1965 in Jilotepec, México to Eduardo Suárez and Ignacia Maldonado. In 1971, Amalia was adopted by Joe L Rodriguez Sr. and Herminia Rodriguez. She found her soul mate and partner for life at the age of 23, when she married Mario Mancha of Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1989, she became a mother to her only son, Mario Mancha Jr.
Amalia graduated from Basic High School in Henderson, Nevada in 1984. In her early life, she worked for several food and beverage companies including Godfather’s Pizza, Winchell’s, and Arby’s. In 1991, she began her career in hospitality at the Harrah’s Hotel and Casino, where she worked in housekeeping for nine years. In 2000, Amalia then continued her career working at the Paris Hotel and Casino, inside the bakery as a cashier. In 2003, she became a full-time homemaker, caring for her household until the time of her passing.
Amalia loved music, dancing, and baking. She enjoyed going to the movies, traveling, and going to the beach. Most of all, Amalia possessed a caring heart, which touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years to the day, Mario Mancha Sr.; one son Mario Mancha Jr.; brother Joe Rodriguez Jr.; two sisters, Fabiola Pavel and Sonia Rodriguez; all of which she loved very dearly.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm, July 27, 2018 at Palm Eastern Mortuary. Burial will be held at 9:00am, July 30, 2018 at Davis Memorial Park.
