Alice Faye Douglas

Alice Faye Douglas passed away suddenly but peacefully at the young age of 75 on June 2nd 2023. To know Alice was to love her. She lived her life with force, unconditional love and lots of laughter. She was adored by all that knew her and had many friends that she called family. Alice was born in Lancaster, PA on March 11, 1948 to Herbert Trout and Dolly Mae Edgar. She lived in many amazing places as a young child, Portugal, France, and England just to mention a few, before her family settled in Las Vegas, NV. She met and later married Jack Douglas on May 8th, 1965 and shortly after their first daughter was born they moved to Kemmerer, Wy where their family grew by 2. She loved and adored her children and grandchildren and was her happiest when they were around. There wasn’t a thing she wouldn’t do for any one of her children.

Alice started a long successful career with Utah Power and Light in Kemmerer, Wy where she later retired and shortly after moved back to Las Vegas. Alice had many incredible traits, she had a creative mind and never forgot anything she was very intelligent and overly organized if you knew her you knew everything had a place. She wrote many short stories and had a way with words. She served many positions on her HOA board, giving 100% and took pride in everything she did.

She is survived by her 3 children Darcy (Lester) Maldonado, Jack Douglas, and Janet Mackey (James Ray), grandchildren Corey Roberts, Hayden Roberts, Jesse Maldonado, Matt Maldonado, Miranda Critchfield, Talen Critchfield, and Brianna Douglas. Great grandchildren Keeley, Alexia, Alevia and Jacksen Roberts, Lydia Gonzales, and Nikolas Gonzales, Great-great granddaughter Genuine Florez. Brother Dennis (Linda ) Edgar and many nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Sister Rose Cebular, grandmother Lydia Brackbill, grandsons Sean Dee Hysell and Michael Maldonado.

She will be missed and there is a void that cannot be filled. As she always said “I SEE YOU LATER”

A memorial service for Alice will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
