Whenever I think of my life specially my teenage years, Ali's presence is always there. 
 
Ali and my late brother Mehrdad were part of our cousin team and I was getting male's perspective on things through them. 

When they both left Iran and came to US to study I felt a big void in my life. How could we all continue without them by our side. But the closeness I felt with them never fade away. 

I remember Ali came back home for summer break after a couple of years to visit the family. He kept talking about a girl he met named Sandi, with a lot of love. i knew then that he had found his future wife. 

After I moved here I stayed in touch with him as much as I could. 
Even though we were geographically apart from each other but I felt extremely close to him in my heart. 

The news of his passing created incredible sadness for me. The
 only console I have is that he is not suffering and is in peace in heaven.

The day I received the news of my beloved cousin Ali’s passing was an incredibly sad day. The news came unexpectedly and had me dazed for hours. How could that be possible? We had seen Ali only a few months earlier in Denver. He seemed a bit frail, but otherwise the same Ali, funny, witty, kind and caring, always so caring. 

So many memories have since rushed into my head from years near and far. My fondest memories of him will always be from our teenage days and annual family vacations when our parents would scoop all 7 of us cousins and take us up north to the beaches of the Caspian Sea. Ali and my dear late brother Mehrdad were born only a few weeks apart and acted more like twin brothers than cousins. They were mischievous, goofy and wildly funny and had us in stitches the entire time. One summer while at the Caspian, when they were no more than 16 years old, they decided to rent a moped to impress some cute girls in the beach camp. Suddenly they decided to ride hands-free while smiling at the girls and ended up in a ditch with the bike landing on their heads. Despite being bruised up they managed to get back on the bike and ride it back to the rental office. Our parents never found out and we all had something to talk about for years to come!   

From 2018 to 2021 that Mehrdad was hospitalized with a serious illness, Ali would schedule cousins group calls, along with Shahram and my sister Mitra, so we could collectively go over Mehrdad’s condition and have a care plan, always offering assistance in every possible way. He and Shahram paid Mehrdad several visits to keep his spirits up. No longer young mischievous teenagers but every bit as loving and close as before. That’s how strong our bond was and has always been. Rest in peace my sweet Ali. Until we meet again .

My dear brother Ali, I wish I could see you one more time. You were a good person and very kind. You were always so attentive to comfort and wishes of others. You were a role model for family members and people admired your kindness. You will always stay with me and the emptiness you have left in my life will never be filled. You are not among us any more, but your spirit lives in my heart. Everything you did for everyone in kindness of your good heart will always be remembered and admired.

My dear brother Ali will live in my heart forever. I miss him so much and my life is no longer the same without him. We were very close but geographically apart for many years, yet the connection was strong just as when were kids. His voice still resonates so clearly in my head and I hope it continues to stay clear as time goes by so he can stay close to me. 

When I let family and friends know about his passing I can tell that there are truly sad to hear the news as they loved and cared for him. 

He was very smart and was my role model at school. My dad never had to worry about telling me to study hard as he knew he had a secret agent doing that for him. 

We used to get together with our cousins in Tehran in summer time, and we all had a blast. Memory of those days always made Ali laugh. Later years he told me about the mischiefs they got into with my dear late cousin Mehrdad. 

Ali was a protector. When we were growing up, if I was getting roughed up during a game or getting beat up in a fight even if I had instigated the fight, Ali always came to rescue me. I knew I had my big brother who solidly had my back. This personal characteristics, as a protector, was Ali’s trademark and was so vividly obvious to everyone. Best of everything and highest priority for his family always!. As long as his immediate family, grandchildren and siblings had the best of everything he could provide, he was the happiest. 

I was really looking forward in spending more time with him when I retire in near future. Unfortunately that is not going to happen and it saddens me tremendously. But, I am extremely happy that he did not suffer much and left this world in the best possible way reserved for only kind hearted, genuine, and loved by God individuals.

To the memory of my late nephew Ali Reza Zenhari. After his retirement, we talked by phone almost every Sunday for lengthy periods of time. He enjoyed his retirement and we shared a joy of nature. He described his garden and trees at his beautiful house in Las Vegas. He loved his family very much, and I miss him very very much. Uncle Nasser

Once I asked Ali you have lived in America for a long time and you speak English all the time. When you talk to yourself or when you dream a bout something what language you refer to? He answered Farsi because It’s my motherhood language. You are always in my heart my dear brother.

Ali would always greet you with a smile and showed his kindness when he spoke to you.  Even though I worked in Public Works, every encounter was a pleasant one.

I had the great pleasure to have worked with Ali on two different occasions in the 1990's, right after his relocation to LV.   I was then afforded a third opportunity to work with him a few years ago, right before his retirement from COH.  Ali was a tremendous person and always seemed more of a friend than a co-worker, whenever we talked.  He alweays seemed to bring joy and humor to any situation and I'm grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing him.  My deepest condolences to each member of his family.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Ali was the first Engineer outside of Church/PBS&J Engineering that I met in 1993. He was so honest and sincere that we became friends. Sending prayers. 

Dear Zenhari family, 
My heart broke for you when I heard about Ali's passing.  Since he retired from the City, I have missed his quick wit and sense of humor.  He made amazing professional contributions during his time here and he always caught me off-guard with a quip about some thing or another.  I loved seeing his smile and I can only imagine how difficult his loss is on your family. 
 I pray your memories and love bring you comfort in the days ahead.  I will keep all of you in my heart and thoughts.



Ali was a great friend and mentor to me.  His knowledge, friendship, advice, and especially his great sense of humor, will truly be missed.
