Dr. Alfredo "Fred" Ninonuevo San Juan

Dr. Alfredo “Fred” Ninonuevo San Juan, age 77, died on July 7, 2023 at St. Rose Siena Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. He was born on August 13, 1945 to Vicenta (Ninonuevo) and Cecilio San Juan in Manila, Philippines. On October 16, 1966, he married Beatriz Dela Cruz Olivares, and they were blessed with four children.

Fred married his childhood sweetheart when he was 19 and she was 16. They have created a lifetime of memories and a love story that outlasted time and the trials of life. Fred felt his greatest treasure was the family that they made together.

Fred practiced medicine and lived in St. Johns, Michigan for 28 years. He was known and loved for the many children he brought into this world. He always put his patients first. Fred enjoyed fishing, playing Mahjong with his friends, and especially his times with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly. “Papa”, as he was called by his grandchildren, knew him as being the “funny Lolo”, always with his infectious smile and quick wit.

He is survived by his wife: Beatriz “Ting” (Olivares) San Juan, and his three siblings: Ronaldo (Erlinda) San Juan, Zenaida San Juan Henson, Maria Teresa (David) San Juan LaBedz, four children: Maria (Thomas) Parsons, Jose (Louella) San Juan, Geraldine (Timothy) San Juan-Dunford, and Alfredo “Freddy” (Amy) San Juan, Grandchildren: Justine (Jaime) Parsons, Joel (Kellen) Parsons, Joella San Juan, Jisella San Juan, Ryan (Lisa) San Juan, Brandon D’Hondt, Devin (Danielle) D’Hondt, Tyler D’Hondt, Devin (Sabrina) Dunford, Daniel (Valerie) Dunford, Gabrielle (Ryan) San Juan, and Great-grandchildren: Ezeekiul Washington, Jaden Zyere, Ayven Parsons, Kelvin Parsons, Hailee San Juan, Hannah San Juan, Ronan D’Hondt, Liam D’Hondt, Ivy Dunford, Grace Dunford, Gabriella Dunford, Earl Soule IV, and special adopted son and family: Stuart (Maria) Gus, Noah & Evan. He was preceded in death by: His father, Cecilio Santos San Juan, and mother Vicenta Ninonuevo San Juan.

There will be a small private committal ceremony for the family in August.
