Alfred Valeriano was born and raised in Utica, New York. He is the son of Joseph Valeriano and Margaret Longo. Growing up he attended Proctor High School and had a career in the construction field under his father’s company, Valeriano and Son’s Construction Company. Alfred was a master of the backhoe and a heavy equipment operator in Las Vegas. He was blessed with two sons Alfred and Phil Valeriano. Alfred moved to Las Vegas December of 1968 with his good friend Nicholas Montana. They were on their way to San Diego, California, when they stopped in Las Vegas, Nevada and never left. They remained good friends. In 1979, Al met Shirley Scotti, his companion of 35 years. Al has 4 beautiful grandchildren Danielle Valeriano, Alaina Valeriano, Vincent Valeriano and Aleese Valeriano. Al retired in 1995 where he spent his long retirement handicapping horses. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Margaret and his two brothers Tony and Joseph, his best friend, Andy Millsap; brother in law, Paul Arcusa. He is survived by sons their wives; Alfred & Angela Valeriano from Frankfort, New York and Phil & Terese Valeriano from Baldwinsville, New York; brothers, Frank and wife Ellen Valeriano, Richard Valeriano & his wife Kathleen Dove; sisters, Marge her husband Gil Scharf and Gene Arcusa and sister in law Marion Valeriano. Also special Thanks to Yvonne Millsap for her friendship, help and love. Two other special friends who were close to Al, Grant McKinley and his neighbor Jay.
