Zoran Gavrilovic, 84, passed away on September 2, 2022. He was born September 12, 1937 in Asanja, Serbia to the late Milutin Gavrilovic and Danica (Jorgovic) Gavrilovic. He moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1965, and shortly after married his loving wife of 57 years, Radmila (Pesic) Gavrilovic. He worked as a Tool and Die Maker for many years, until he and his wife were able to fulfill their dreams by moving to Clearwater, Florida, and were the proud owners of Sands Point Motel for 19 years. They raised a daughter, Marina, and a son, Miroslav.
Zoran was an avid deep sea fisherman and loved being on or near the water. He and his wife have been active parishioners at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Clearwater, where he held various positions over the years. Zoran is predeceased by his two loving sisters, Olgica (Gavrilovic) Devic and Ljiljana (Gavrilovic) Caksiran, Indjija, Serbia. He is survived by his brother, Sava (Kerry) Gavrilovic of Fenton, MO; son, Miroslav ‘Mike’ (Rosanne) Gavrilovic of Durham, CT; daughter, Marina (Treye) Bird, Chapin, SC, and four grandchildren, Daniel and Anthony Gavrilovic, and Alexander and Adriana Pritchard.
Zoran was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was always so proud of his family and of his Serbian heritage. He will greatly be missed by his family and all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church on September 10th at 12:00pm, 15250 58th St N, Clearwater, FL.
The funeral service will take place immediately after at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo FL 33774.
In following, a memorial luncheon will be held at the St.George Church hall where all are welcome.
