William Henry Poggendick, 77 of Largo, passed away November 9th, 2022. Bill was born in Cincinnati, OH to Harry and Sylvia Poggendick. He graduated from to Roger Bacon High School and was a cheerleader. During high school he met the love of his life, Georgeanna, and married her shortly after graduating. Bill loved all things sports, favorite teams were the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, Ohio State, Tampa Bay Rays, and the Tampa Bay Lightning. He played softball and coached; he also bowled where he and Georgeanna would compete in bowling tournaments. Bill loved model trains, as well as the real ones. Working on his set ups or going to train shows were another passion of his. We cannot forget golf. Bill was a huge supporter of the boys’ baseball careers from T-Ball to High School which that love and support carried over into the grandsons. William loved family time, especially family vacations to Florida prior to the move. His other loves were decorating for the holidays, Halloween and Christmas being his favorites. One of his biggest attributes was that he almost never missed a sporting event, recital, graduation, or epic life event for any of the children or grandchildren. When you needed him, he would always be there.
