Susan was born in Kingston Upon Thames and educated in England. She came to the United States with her husband, Norwin Schoenherr, in March of 1983. They settle in Allentown, PA where Norwin worked for Air Products and Chemicals.
Susan had an active business career; first in England in various secretarial positions and ultimately as corporate conference coordinator for Air Products LTD, New Malden, near London.
In Allentown, after obtaining her state real estate license, she became an associate Real Estate Broker with Sherlock Holmes Realty.
After her husband's retirement, they moved together to Clearwater, Florida in 1994. After 2 years of leisure, the couple incorporated N&S Phoenix Enterprises, Inc., a land development company. Over the next 12 years with 2 partners, developed a 154 acres rustic mountain resort which became Grand View Village, Spencer, TN near Fall Creek Falls State Park.
In the family she was known as Nanny, a much loving grandmother to 4 grandchildren.
Susan is survived by her husband, Norwin, Belleair, Florida; daughter, Sarah with 2 granddaughters, Micaela and Rebekah, Gleneden Beach, Oregon; Stepson and daughter-in-law, Alex Schoenherr and Ruth Schoenherr, grandchildren, Gage and Arabella, Clearwater, Florida; brother, David Light, Exeter, UK; Sister, Mary Dillon, Exeter, UK.
