Bob, a twin, was born on November 15, 1937 in Brockton, MA to James and Doris (Anderson) Dodd.
He was born with Cerebral Palsy and worked very diligently to have the best life possible, by not letting his disability define who he was and working very hard to accomplish all he could.
In Brockton, Bob began his life as a businessman by starting a youthful "tonic stand" at Thorney Lea Golf Course. It soon grew into a snack bar for the golfers, which led to a vending business in the city.
Bob was one of the first handicapped students in Brockton schools. The twins graduated in 1956 from Brockton High School where Bob was the equipment manager for the basketball team, leading to his love of sports, bowling and especially golf.
Bob and his high school sweetheart, Sandra Jean Fruzzetti, married in 1958. Bob and Sandra were married for 47 years until her passing in 2005. Following their move from Brockton to South Yarmouth in 1977, they opened Bob's All Seasons Restaurant. In 1981 they moved to Seminole, FL, where Sandy’s Restaurant at Indian Rocks Beach was established and owned for 19 years. They also owned Bob's Quality Cars in Largo.
He was a member of the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo.
