Richard Bert Stafford

62, of The Villages and formerly of Largo, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at home after a prolonged illness. He was born in Ithaca, NY and moved to Venice, Florida at the age of 7. Dick graduated from FSU in 1970. He had been a banker and later a mini-storage manager for Park Mini Storage and Indian Rocks Mini Storage. Dick was an active member at Anona United Methodist Church for 25 years and enjoyed working with the youth program. He was an avid golfer and retired to The Villages in 2008. Dick was devoted to his family and cherished time spent with them and friends. Surviving is his loving wife Nina, two sons Ryan (Valerie) Stafford and Kyle Stafford both of Steamboat Springs, CO and brothers Fred P.”Ned” (Faith) Stafford of West Linn, OR and John (Debbie) Stafford of Mesa, AZ along with two cousins Roberta Beck and Renee Beck. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or your local Hospice. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2 pm at Anona United Methodist Church, 13233 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33744.
