Rafael Sanchez

On January 25, 2015, his 90th birthday, Pablo Rafael (Fellin) Sanchez y Padilla went into the presence of the Lord. He was born in Abras, Corozal, Puerto Rico to Rafael (Fello) Sanchez y Marrero and Casiana (Chana) Padilla y Fuentes. Rafael lived in Lorain, Ohio and worked at Ford’s Cleveland Engine, Plant 3 in Brook Park, Oh, for 30 years retiring to Florida in 1983. Rafael is survived by his loving wife of 60 ½ years Lydia R. Sanchez (Santana), his children; Shirley L. Miranda (Fernando) of Panama, Rafael (Ray) O. Sanchez (Jenni) of Lorain, Ohio, Nydia R. Goodwin of Boca Raton, FL, Wilfredo (Fred) Sanchez (Robin Crum) of Lorain, Oh, Hector Q. Sanchez of St. Petersburg, FL, Louis F. Sanchez (Christina) of St. Petersburg, FL, and Sylvia Acosta, Miriam Sanchez and Nelson Sanchez, 23 grandchildren and 14+ great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons Paul Sanchez, Robert Sanchez and 10 siblings. Rafael was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain, Oh and Transfiguration Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, FL. He is much loved by his family and will be missed.
