SATTLER, Patricia Price Leonardo, 88, of Seminole, FL passed away May 6, 2011. She was born in Massachusetts on St. Patrick’s Day, 1923. She was a WW II Army nurse, who married one her patients, Manny Leonardo, a parapelegic in her care. They were married 27 years. He was one of the first members of a Wheelchair Basketball team. She later married Ted Sattler to whom she was married 25 years. Pat had a long career as an RN in Morton Plant Hospital, where she worked until age 70. She leaves behind dear friends, Woody and Maureen Stilwell, Largo and Joe and Kathy Keiser of Planview, NY as well as many friends at Morton Plant and her loyal dog, “Mr. Duffy”. She was a member of the Martha and Mary Guild. Viewing hours will be from 4-6 pm Monday at Moss-Feaster Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel. A vigil service will be held 4:30 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 am Tuesday at St. Jerome Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Suncoast Hopsice.
