Patric attended “Brooklyn Tech” High School and graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1975. He then attended Medgar Evers College, where he met Patricia who would become the love of his life, they were married soon after on August 25, 1979. Patric continued his education after the birth of his two sons’ Albert and Gregory. After completing his undergraduate degree, he was accepted into New York Law School, and passed the NY State bar exam in 1992. Shortly thereafter, Patric and Patricia welcomed their only daughter, Joy in 1992.
Following the birth of their last child, the Morris family moved to NJ. Patric would continue dedicating himself to others by working for the Union County Consumer Affairs, an agency committed to the protection of consumer rights.
The family later relocated to Charlotte, NC where Patric would embark on one of his greatest passions: teaching. He taught middle school Social Studies, coached basketball (both boys and girls) and was a mentor to a great number of young men and women.
Patric and Patricia moved one final time to Pinellas Park, FL. Here Patric revisited his legal career, practicing real estate law. After over forty years of dedicating his life to others, he embraced retirement and began the next chapter of his life with his beloved wife, family, and friends.
Everyone who knew Patric, understood next to his family, he truly loved God. Patric was baptized at the New York City Church of Christ, he then served as an Elder at the Charlotte Church of Christ and finally, he became a member of the Tampa Anchor Point Church. Here among other activities, he served on the Cultural Unity Team, responsible for bringing cultural unity to the church and its members.
Patric was an avid sports fanatic and a celebrated basketball player. He loved all New York sports teams and was a lifelong fan of the Knicks, Giants, Jets, Nets, Mets, and Yankees.
He loved all music and in his youth was a neighborhood DJ, playing at any and all parties. His love of music developed into a desire to sing, and he enjoyed Karaoke in the company of close friends.
Wherever he called home, Patric sought spiritual guidance. Patric was a father to the fatherless who was loved by many near and far. He will be remembered for his love for God, his family, and his neighbors. He devoted his life to serving others in all the ways he could.
Patric is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Patricia; his sons, Albert (Tiffany, mother of two), and Gregory Morris (Lauren, mother of two); daughter, Joy Saddler (Sheldon, father of one), grandchildren, Julia Morris, Jason Morris, Stella Morris, Simone Morris and Amaya Saddler. Sisters, Michele Morris Jimenez, Adrianne Morris Fleming (James), Desiree Morris Rosebure, and lastly, David Morris (Brenda); nieces and nephews, Simeon Jimenez, Katrina Taylor, Andrae Allen, Thais Jimenez and Aime Ferdinand
The funeral services will be held from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Serenity Funeral Home 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774.
