Patricia (Pam) Samples, 80, of Seminole, Florida, passed away on January 12, 2023. She was married for 57 years to the love of her life, Randy Samples. Pam, a native of Georgia, spent the first part of her married life as an Executive Assistant in the Aeronautical industry and later became a housewife, a mother, a painter, and a writer. She went to the University of South Alabama, where she was a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society and Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. She was published in the International Who’s Who in Poetry and wrote many short stories for other publications.
Pam was passionate about animals, baking, painting, writing, flying, boating, fishing, and walking. All the squirrels and birds in the area knew where to find food. As a baker, you could always count on Pam to bring a cake or homemade candy to you for any reason. As an artist, she loved drawing and painting, especially anything to do with the Peanuts characters. Before kids, she took up flying and had some great stories about landing on grass fields in Texas. Later, she became Randy’s co-pilot, and they flew all over Florida and even up to Alabama and Georgia to see family and friends or go to the Keys to have lunch.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Samples, their son David, their daughter Pepir Jernigan and her husband Allen, whom they promised his mom, Kay, they would look after when she passed away. She was a loving and compassionate wife, mom, and friend. Pam will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
