Michael Richard Scarminach, Sr. 74, a long time resident of Indian Rocks Beach, FL., has passed away on Dec 21st, 2020 after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Michael was born on Nov 3rd, 1946 in Rochester, NY, to parents John and Margaret Scarminach who have both preceded him in death. Michael married his high school sweetheart on July 2nd, 1964 and was a devoted loving husband of 56 years to Charlene Ruth Scarminach(Bentley).
Michael was a generous man, always willing to help a friend or neighbor. He enjoyed staying busy in retirement. He very much enjoyed tinkering with anything mechanical, strolling around a car or boat show, reading and watching everything related to the racehorse Secretariat and touring visiting friends and family around his little island in Florida.
Michael had a very large family who loved him and will miss his greatly. He is survived by his loving wife Charlene; sons Michael(Regina) Scarminach of Ashland, OR and John(Angie) Scarminach of Mesa, AZ, daughter Amy(Rick) Meyer of San Tan Valley, AZ.; ten grandchildren; Angie, Jenna, Joshua, Jacob, Ricky, Sharlee, Mia, Sophia, Zachary and Johnny ; and five great- grandchildren: Stella, Jett, Griffin, Paisley and Grayson, all of whom were very special to him.
Due to COVID-19, the family has chosen to have a private service for the time being. They will hold a celebration of life service at a later date.
