Mary Elizabeth Brady

She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on February 2, 1932, to Elizabeth Doyle O’Connell and John Bernard O’Connell. Mary was preceded in death by her brother John O’Connell (Jack) and her husband of 57 years, Dr. John J. Brady. She was devoted in love to her eight children (Anne Quinlan and her husband Gerard, Dr. Mary S. Brady and her husband Dr. Paul Russo, Patricia Hetrick and her husband Steve, Sharon Brady, Madeline Fromageot, John Brady and his wife Jennifer, Michael Brady and his wife Chesan, and Thomas J. Brady and his wife Julie. She had 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Thursday, February 2, 5-7 pm, at Serenity Gardens Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo. A Funeral mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1955 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater at 10 am Friday, February 3.

Mary was a devout Catholic and parishioner at St. Cecelia’s Church, Clearwater, Florida. She served as a spiritual director at Our Lady of Divine Providence House of Prayer, Clearwater. She was a devoted member of the Marian Servants of Divine Providence.

Mary was an extra ordinary homemaker, a wonderful cook, a great friend. Most of all, she loved and supported her children and their children with dedication throughout the years.
