MaryAnna Gillam Thomas passed away quietly on Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Largo, FL. She was 92 years of age. MaryAnna was born in Tyrone, PA in 1926 and resided in Largo, FL for 48 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Harold W. Thomas in 2005 as well as a sister, Elizabeth Gillam Chambers in 2014. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Gillam Lewis of Cincinnati, OH and three children, Barbara Susan Thomas of Belleair, FL, Anne Elizabeth Thomas Mersis of Dunedin, FL, and John Gillam Thomas (Cindi) of Belleair, FL. A very proud, devoted and loving grandmother, MaryAnna leaves behind three grandchildren, Jennifer Anne Mersis of Los Angeles, CA, Collin Carr Thomas and Savanah Karina Thomas, both of Belleair, FL. A graduate of Boston University, MaryAnna was a teacher, a homemaker and co-founder of Flo-Tec Inc. (Largo, FL) where she worked for more than 15 years. She was a member of Anona United Methodist Church in Largo, FL. Details of a Celebration of Life service for MaryAnna are not yet finalized and will be announced at a later date. MaryAnna was a dedicated supporter of the Hands of Healing Medical and Dental Mission of Anona United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be sent to:
