Lois was born on August 1st, 1935, in Marble, Minnesota, to Luella and Leslie Palmer. Lois graduated from Greenway High School and went on to build a life full of love, dedication, and service to her family and community.
Lois married Wilfred Wisuri Jr. on October 19, 1957, and together they shared many years of love, companionship, and family until his passing on November 27, 1981. Their union was a testament to a deep, enduring bond that shaped Lois’s life and the lives of their children. Lois continued to honor his memory and legacy with unwavering devotion throughout the rest of her life. She had a fulfilling career as a clerk for Pinellas County Schools and later served as an administrator for the Bethlehem Centre at St. Jerome Catholic Church, where she was an important part of the parish community for many years.
Lois had a deep passion for reading, often immersing herself in her favorite books. She loved the game of golf and was an avid fan of baseball, always eager to watch games and cheer on Sem. Lois's warmth, kindness, and humor were evident in every aspect of her life, and she will be remembered for her loving presence, generosity, and devotion to her family.
Lois is survived by her son, Tim and his wife Jennifer Wisuri and their dog Sadie, as well as her daughter Carol Sommers. She was a proud grandmother to Chad Sommers and his partner Heather Miller, Kyle Sommers, and Skylar Rosin and her partner Sem Robberse, along with their dogs Leo and DJ. Lois is also survived by her siblings Luella (Babe) Lafond and Margaret (Peg) Emme, as well as her sister-in-law Marlene Wisuri. Additionally, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Lois was predeceased by her parents, Leslie and Luella Palmer as well as brothers Joe Palmer, Bid Palmer, and her sister Charlotte Betz.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th, 2025, from 5-7 PM at Serenity Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, at 1 PM at St. Jerome Catholic Church. A graveside service will follow at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, with a reception to follow at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Pinellas County Animal Services in Lois's honor, reflecting her love for animals and commitment to helping those in need.
Lois will be forever remembered for her loving spirit, devotion to her family, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. May she rest in peace.
