Leslie Ann Montanaro

Leslie Ann Montanaro, 71, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away on December 19, 2023. Leslie was born on October 7, 1952 in New York City. Leslie lived most of her early years in Franklin Square, NY and moved to Largo, Florida in 1991. Leslie was predeceased by her father, Dan, mother Josephine, and sister Denise. Leslie is survived by her brother Dan Montanaro and sister-in-law Marcy, Aunt Corinne Sammartino, cousins Diane DeVestern, Frank Sammartino, Peter Michaels, Roger Montanaro, Douglas Montanaro, Stephanie LaMendola, brother-in-law Greg Peddle, and nephews Doug and Gordon Peddle.

Leslie received a BS degree in nursing from NY State University at Stony Brook. Leslie also studied art at the Art Students League in NYC. Leslie worked as a registered nurse in multiple health care facilities on Long Island prior to moving to Largo, Florida. Leslie was very creative with her artwork and music. She also had a tremendous sense of humor and playfulness. Leslie was also a Catholic that found comfort spiritually in attending Mass.

If you choose to make a donation in Leslie’s memory, she was an advocate for the non-profit Mental Health America. Leslie’s remains will be interred on Long Island at some future date in 2024. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
