He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marion Fray and by his three children, Adrienne Patricia Smith (Joseph), Thomas Joseph Fray, and Marion Eileen Rose (Fred); sister, Eleanor Faletta; he is also survived by his six grandchildren, Brian Smith, Molly Smith, Shannon Smith, James Fray, Christine Rose, and Timothy Rose; and one great grandchild Sean Patrick Smith.
Joe was a veteran of World War II, survived the Battle of the Bulge, and the Ardennes Breakthrough. He retired from Chase National Bank, presently known as JP Morgan Chase, and was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church.
A visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774 on Wednesday July 28th, 2021 evening 5:30pm - 7:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jerome Church,10895 Hamlin Blvd, Largo, FL 33774, on Thursday at 11:30am. Joseph will be interred in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery, Flushing, New York on Saturday August 7th, at 10am.
