I wanted to express my sympathy to you on the passing of your mother.  I lost my wife of 31 years last year prior to moving to Florida.  If I can be of any comfort to you please let me know as I too know the grief you are feeling and the challenging days that are ahead for you.
My wife was hospitalized for two years prior to her passing and I know the strength and dedication to your mother's care had to be physically and emotionally draining.  My thoughts are with you during this time of your loss.

As I awoke this morning listening to birdsong I thought of Joellen and how she welcomed all that was new in her life.  Like the birds cheerful for the dawn of the new day Joellen seemed to focus on the good.  We know that from her smile and from the positive tone in her conversations.  As a new member of the family coming in through my friendship and marriage to Sharon I immediately felt a warm and unquestioning welcome.  Joellen's physical presence will be greatly missed, but her presence will persist in our hearts and thoughts.  She has given us a legacy of good thoughts and positive attitude and now she is at peace.

I keep waiting for the right words........but no measurement in words reach my Moms impact on my life and of everyone's that she touched.  I miss our daily talks.....I have a saved voice mail that I play when I can't take the silence of her voice anymore.  I will forever cherish the faith that I have in God and family , thanks to Mom!  I find peace knowing that your pain is gone and that you are quilting again in Heaven.  All my love, always! Your oldest daughter Sue.

I'm still at a loss for words!  Jo became one of my residents back in Jan., and needless so say she stole my heart from day one!!!  I will never forget how she thanked me for every little thing that I did for her, followed by her smile!!!!  She took me under her wing when I showed interest of starting my own quilt, which was always a dream of mine!!!!  My prayers go out to all of her family and friends for your loss!!  Such a legacy that she left behind..  R.I.P. Joe!!!!  I soo miss you!!  Till we meet again!!

God brings people in your life and he brought me a beautiful friend who had the most wonderful and beautiful mom.  Even though I did not know your mother Susan as well as I would have liked to, she did indeed touch my life.  May the memories you hold be your strength during this difficult time. To the best mom I could ever ask for.  I am trying so hard to be strong for you mom, but I am having a very hard time imagining our lives without you.  You are the strongest, kindest, most generous person I have ever known. You have left some very big shoes to fill in your absence, but your family and friends that knew and loved you will strive everyday to live up to your expectations.  It gives me peace to know that you are now free of pain and with all your loved ones that left this Earth before you. I am going to miss our movie nights, watching HGTV with you, trying to make Christmas cookies from scratch (and instead winding up with Christmas colored cookie blobs), and picking out color and pattern designs for your many, many quilting projects.

Jo's passing is a loss to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.  I knew her as a big sister who provided encouragement whenever it was needed, a mother who loved her children deeply and a talented woman  who had a genuine interest in continuing to be creative despite the physical challenges that life presented for her in recent years.
