THOMPSON, Jerry J., 68, of Largo, FL died July 29, 2012. Jerry was born in Indianapolis, IN and moved to Florida in the early 1970’s from Columbus, OH. Jerry started playing the drums at the age of 14 in the basement of his home. He went on the road at the age of 17 playing the drums with various bands across the United States and Canada. He was a member of the United Musicians Union and the United Yorkie Rescue. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Colleen, brother, Philip B. (Carol), Plainfield, IN; sister, Maryhelen Carroll, Indianapolis , IN and nephews, Chris and Patrick and niece, Carrie.
