I can't believe it has been a year.  I miss talking to you.  We all really miss you!  It is not the same when I go to Florida .. had so many memories through the years when I would visit my favorite uncle ...I know you are with the family now in heaven.....give everyone a hug for me.

I guess  the Rays will have one less fan in the stands from now on.  J.J always  bought the tickets in the senior section and knew where we were able to park free;  so I drove and brought along the Publix subs. We didn’t really care if they won or lost; they were just fun times that added to the memories. Now I will forever more have projects around my house that I won’t be able to coax J.J into helping  me with.  The very first thing he always did was insist on making a list. Then he’d debate with me on how to do it.  By the time we finally got it done, it had taken us five times longer than it would have taken anyone else.  We once spent an entire afternoon building a case for my Pachinko game. It came personalized with an autograph and date by J.J Jordan.   It hangs in my game room to this day and every time I see it, I will be reminded of him.

J.J, thanks for the fishing trips, boat rides and smelly fish times,  when the bait was the only fish we came home with. It wasn’t fishing that made me go,  it was fun, laughter and memories we were always able to enjoy.  Thanks again Captain J.J for the guided tour on the Suwannee River and the picture of you at the helm. The only part of our friendship that I regret is having to say goodbye to you. In a crazy way, you are  fortunate to not have to say goodbye to any of your friends and loved ones.  Remember us all in Heaven and be on the look out for all of us;  that certain someday when we’ll join you and pick up where we left off………


J.J. was truly one of a kind. To me, he was a special and  great friend.  He filled my life with 40 years of brotherhood that I wouldn’t give up for anything. How unfortunate I feel over having lost him; yet  I know I am more fortunate to have known him.  I will now go on living with all the memories that he and I were so greatly blessed to have.

 J.J. and I spent our fair share of time in the early years of our friendship being each other’s wingman when we visited the "clubs", as we called them.  One of the very first nights we were to meet I found myself at the club eagerly awaiting his arrival. But…J.J never showed up. As it turned out J.J had fallen  asleep on his couch.  You can be sure that  I never let him live that down. 

I remember all of weekends we spent barbecuing with girl friends that he and I might have met or had been seeing, we all had so much fun and laughs.  Until the day he passed those treasured memories always played a part in the  topic of conversations. I’ll never forget how J.J and I would round up a handful of guy and gals for a game or two of volleyball each weekend at his condo. Then it was off to the pool; then off to the bar / restaurant around the corner, with all you can eats wings.   J.J was a master at de-boning those wings and  he taught me how to do the same.  Those days stopped the moment he got lucky enough to get a date with the soon to be love of his life, Lisa. I’m sure that there were dozens of lunch dates he had shared with her before he and I got a chance to catch up. When we did get that chance, he bragged about how pretty she was and how smart and funny she was. He said you could never be sure exactly what she was saying because of her Italian accent.  I thought he’d never shut up.  That was the day I knew I was on my own again; I’d lost my wingman to the woman of his dreams, the lovely Lisa. 



We will miss Jim very much. He was a kind hearted caring individual who loved life. He was always a joy to be around. May the lord bless him and accept his immortal soul. Debbie her children and John's children my brother Tom and my sister Laurie, Wanita, Lisa and her grand child and myself is all that is left in the Jordan family. I'm sure he will be sorely missed by all.

Charles Jordan

I am writing this in behalf of Wanita Jordan.  She was the closest thing as a sister to Jim.. he would call her every weekend for 19 years.  She was married to his brother Bud who passed away years ago.   She loves Jim and will miss hearing that phone ring.....great memories they had together.  

I’ve known Jim for years through our membership in the Pin-MAR Antique Car Club.  If you needed help, Jim was the guy to call.  Jim always enjoyed the Christmas Parades with Lisa riding shotgun and Aicha in the rumble seat with a friend.  The last time I saw him was on January 1 at our annual Birthday Tour.  As always, he wore an ear-to-ear smile that I’ll surely miss. He was a gentle, nice, and very kind guy.  My heart goes out to Lisa and Aicha on their loss.  .

Useless to say how sorry I am for your loss. You know that I met Jim many years ago but immediately it was clear in my heart what a good Soul he was! You may feel emptiness around you but be sure He   will continue to sent you His immense love  and protection. May God bless you!

Uncle Jim will always remain in my memory. The wonderful man passed away too early.

JJ...thank you for the cups of coffee on your back porch. Good bye at this time but what a joyful hello I am looking forward to again in paradise with ya! Njoy those long walks with Bella again. Love ya buddy.

He is a wonderful Uncle.  He would always call me kid.  I enjoyed my many trips visiting him...he would take me to the beach.on the boat. He loved the beach as much as I did....he is also the godfather to my son Adam....he would always say to Adam.What's up Doc.  I will miss talking to you but I know you are with my Mom.your brothers.and Grandma and Grandpa.  Give them all a hug for me...until we see each other again.  Much love...Debbie

James was a great man and a friend who will be missed. 

I'll never forget how proud he was to show off his '31 Ford Model A Coupe in the Official PIN-MAR 2020 Calendar.

Recently my Son Tyler and I saw him exploring the town in his '31 with Lisa by his side and called him on his cell to let him know how great they looked heading down the road; he loved hearing it but said she was a little dirty and needed a bath. I'm so glad he and Lisa made it to the New Year's Day Birthday Tour and picnic and got to share the day with so many of his PIN-MAR friends. We had a great time together, and we miss him already.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with his family, and remember, "The living owe it to those who can no longer speak to tell their story for them."  So keep sharing those stories about Jim, so his memory lives on.
