Helen Ann Lawrence, born on May 21, 1935, in Maynard, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on December 05, 2024, at the age of 89. Helen was a beacon of love and kindness, known for her radiant smile and unwavering positive outlook on life. Her compassion extended to all living beings, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
Helen is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Raymond W. Lawrence, of Lawrence, Massachusetts. Together, they raised two daughters, Sharon Dobbins and Patricia Lawrence, in Lawrence and Methuen, Massachusetts. Helen's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also leaves behind her beloved son-in-law, Kurt Dobbins, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, who will all miss her dearly.
In their retirement years, Helen and Ray enjoyed the warmth and community of Belleair Bluffs, Florida. Helen's final weeks were spent surrounded by the love and care of her family in the comfort of her daughter's home, a testament to the deep bonds she nurtured throughout her life. She was blessed with wonderful caregivers, one in particular who served as 'footsteps in the sand'.
Helen was predeceased by a sister, a brother, and a nephew. She leaves behind nieces in Texas and Massachusetts, whose memories she held dear. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to organizations dedicated to preventing harm to children or animals, causes close to Helen's heart. Her family and friends will miss her immensely, but they find solace in the beautiful memories and the love she shared so generously.
A graveside service for Helen will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home & Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774.
