Hazel Lorena Eakins, a beloved resident of Clearwater, FL, peacefully passed away on November 19, 2023, at the age of 92. Born on August 27, 1931, in Madison, Florida, to Sadie and David Thighpen, Hazel's life was characterized by a profound commitment to her family, faith, and community.

Hazel Lorena Eakins graduated from Greenville, FL, marking the beginning of a life devoted to service and compassion. She found her lifelong partner in Dewey Eakins, embracing a journey together that was defined by love and mutual support.

Her career at Schneider Electric was a testament to her dedication and work ethic. Yet, her true passion lay in her unwavering dedication to Christian Fellowship Church, where her involvement spanned church activities, nursing home ministries, and nurturing her cherished garden. Her commitment to spreading her Christian values was a cornerstone of her being, evident in her interactions with everyone she met.

Hazel Lorena Eakins will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her surviving daughter Anne Parker, daughter-in-law Rhonda Eakins, grandchild Derrick Eakins, and sisters Myrtle Partain and Myrtice Hagan. Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation for Hazel will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Christian Fellowship Church, 900 Starkey Road, Largo, FL 33771. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 900 Starkey Road, Largo, FL 33771.
