George T Wajdowicz

Wajdowicz, George T. 80 of Largo, FL passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013. George was born on August 31, 1932 in Washington, DC and moved to Florida at the age of 6. He taught math in the Pinellas County School system for 10 years. Following that, and until his retirement, George served as the Planning Specialist for the School Board of Pinellas County. He held a BS, MA and PHD from Florida State University. George was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity, Phi Delta Kappa Honor Society and multiple professional associations. He was an active member of Christ Presbyterian Church and served 4 years in the United States Air Force. George is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Wajdowicz of Largo along with a grandson, Andrew (Katherine) Sackman, a granddaughter, Ashlee Sackman, and multiple nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by all of his siblings and a daughter, Ellen Janice Sackman. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be offered to Christ Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund. Friends are calling on Friday, Jan 11, 2013 from 5 – 6:30 pm at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 727-562-2080.
