88 of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at his home. George was born on March 5, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Nathan & Leah (Jacobs) Bristol. He moved to this area in 1993 coming from Philadelphia. Following his military service, George began his public service career as an attorney with the Pennsylvania State Attorney General's Office and later retired as a supervising attorney with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He was a veteran serving in the US Army during WWII. A member of the Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge, the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) and belonged to several Harmonica clubs. George loved music, especially Jazz and enjoyed playing his harmonica at several venues around Tampa Bay. He was also an avid science fiction fan. Given his rich baritone speaking voice, George was in high demand to do voice-overs and radio spots. Surviving is a daughter Paula (Patrick) Roman of Philadelphia, PA and grandson Patrick Roman, Jr. along with many friends and his extended family.
