Fred (also known for many years by his nickname, Ted) is predeceased by his wife Linda. They were happily married for almost 64 years.
Fred had an extremely active and rewarding life. As a young man he served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He owned several businesses during his life and built many of the homes in the Largo area. During his “retirement” he owned a 1200 acre cattle ranch in southern Ohio. He loved to horseback ride, hunt & fish and host cookouts on an open fire at a hilltop cabin overlooking the ranch.
He and Linda traveled extensively and loved shopping for antiques in many countries. They were both active members of Anona Methodist Church.
Fred is survived by his son Mark F. Thompson (Andrea), daughter Beth A. Thompson, two granddaughters Caitlin T. Frank (Raymond) and Allison T. Crespo (Rafael), three great grandchildren, his sister Cheryl L. Raney, and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held February 7th at 4PM at Anona Methodist Church, the service will be held in the Chapel on the North side of Anona Methodist Church campus. For those who cannot attend in person, the service will be available to watch online at https://live.anona.com/
In honor of Fred, the family invites attendees to wear their ranch wear to the service - jeans, boots, hats, etc.
