E. Richard Bolster passed away 4/4/22 in Harbor Bluffs, Florida. "Dick" was a US Air Force veteran who served in the Philippines and Japan in WWII and was honorably discharged in 1946. He later had a career spanning over 55 years in sales in the office furniture industry, retiring from that in 2007. Over the years, Dick has been active in a number of Civic Organizations including the Administrative Management Society, various Chambers of Commerce, Rotary International in which he was President of his local club in '89-'90, President of his Homeowners Association in both Atlanta, GA and Harbor Bluffs, FL, Council of Service Organizations Upper Pinellas in which he was also President and served on the Board of Directors of The Palms of Largo Foundation.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Dick and his family also lived in Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, Dayton, OH, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Marietta, GA before moving to Harbor Bluffs in Largo in 1982. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce, two daughters, Rhonda Hair and Erin Shimkonis, 2 grandsons, MSgt. Ryan Hines and Cody Fletcher, 2 granddaughters, Carly Hair and Haley "Salem" Shimkonis, 2 step-granddaughters, Mollie and Janey Hair, and 1 step-great-granddaughter, Zoe Hair, as well as his sister, Cheryl Loesch, who lives in Pittsburgh.
Dick was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Largo, FL.
