HOWARD, Danny 81, of Largo, went home to be with his Savior March 19, 2010. A proud Largo native, Danny had a great love and commitment to his faith, family, community and country. To this end, he presided over the Largo Historical Society for two years during the relocation and preservation of the Largo Feed Store, and served his country for two years during the Korean Conflict. Danny loved racing, and was involved in building and racing stock cars for many years locally. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Jackie; children Curtis Daniel Jr. (Donna), James Richard (Melissa), Thomas Gary and Kathryn Rene (Erik Bredfeldt); grandchildren, Samuel Weston, Kasey Marie, Shearod Anderson, and Emma Grace; sister, Mary Lou Black and sister-in-law, Willena Gruber; two nieces and one nephew. Viewing hours will be from 6-8 pm Thursday and from 10 am until service time at 11 am Friday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Largo Cemetery.
