Carol Rae (Hatcher) Surber, age 76, of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. Carol was born on August 21st, 1945 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to Keith and Avonelle Hatcher. Carol was a lifelong member of New Testament Baptist Church in Largo, Florida. She dedicated her life to Jesus Christ and served Him through her calling to care for children and her church commuity. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Carol was also known as grammy, auntie-grammy and second mom to many others. She was talented and creative, often expressing her love through preparing food and creating crafts.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband George (Jerry). She is survived by her three children: Elizabeth (Walker), Matthew, and Charles; her children by marriage Karin, Russell, and Michael; grandchildren Amanda, Emily, Matthew, and Andrew; sisters and brother Ruth, Joe, Evelyn, and Marilyn.
Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, April 15th, 2022 at 10 AM; Celebration of Life service will follow at 11 AM, a reception to follow the service all held at New Testament Baptist Church, 2050 Belcher Road South, Largo, Florida 33771. The inurnment will be at Serenity Gardens, Indian Rocks Road, Largo, following the reception around 2:30 p.m.
