Betty was married to Wielhelm G. Mai on November 12th, 1954, and together they shared a life filled with love and cherished memories. Betty had a rewarding career as a prep cook, and she was known for her dedication and work ethic. Aside from her career in cooking, she very much enjoyed cooking for family and friends and was known especially for her sausage gravy.
Betty had many passions in life. She loved riding along the Gulf beaches, traveling, and visiting casinos. She also enjoyed working puzzles and, above all, spending time with her beloved family. Betty was a devoted sports fan, especially enjoying watching the Tampa Bay Rays, Lightning, Buccaneers, and the Florida Gators play.
She is survived by her two daughters, Connie Kobisk and Linda Mai; her grandson, David Kobisk; and her nieces, Nancy Martin and Norma Avchin, as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her greatly. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joanne Martin, Robert Allen, Richard Allen, and James Allen.
Betty's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 26th at Serenity Funeral Home and Serenity Gardens Memorial Park with a visitation from 11-12 PM, a funeral service starting at 12 PM and a graveside service to follow. Family is accepting flowers or donations to Suncoast Hospice in Betty’s name.
