Betty was born and lovingly raised in South Carolina. After earning her Registered Nurse's degree she moved to Georgia where she met her late husband The Rev. George D. Gentry. Betty and George devotedly raised their three children, Camille, Betsy, and Brooks.
Betty's commitment to Christ was unwaivering, as it was to her family, friends, and those in need. She traveled for many years as a Missionary nurse in Africa and elsewhere and Betty served locally as well as a Suncoast Hospice Nurse.
Betty is survived by her three children, her brother Gene, extended family, and many very dear friends. She will be Forever Missed and is Forever Loved.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Betty's memory to the SuncoastHospiceFoundation.org or ChildrenOfUganda.org.
