Barbara W. Rhode

Born in Syracuse, New York, Barbara had resided in Florida for over 20 years. She retired from Seneca Federal Savings in Baldwinsville, New York in 1984 after 22 years of service. She had a love for the Thousand Islands where she shared with family many wonderful years at The Maples – their beloved cottage. She also had the joy of sharing a beautiful cottage on Raquette Lake for 25 years with her husband Jerry.

Barbara and Jerry travelled the world, having visited over 60 different countries. Her two favorite places were Japan and Africa.

Barbara was pre-deceased by her parents, Paul and Doris Fowler, her first husband of 24 years, Albert Wager in 1975, her daughter Susan in 2008, her Grandaughter Olivia in 1995, and her sister Roberta in 2004.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jerry, her children Albert Wager, Rick Wager (Colleen), and Paula Lewis (Mark). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Paul, Daniel, Nicole, Tori, Jillian and Jake, as well as one great grandchild, Dillon. She is also survived by her siblings Lois Fowler, Paul Fowler and Ginny Fowler-Melfi, as well as her step-sons Gerald K. Jr., Mark and Scott.
