Bill died unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep. He was born to Bill SR. and Veronica Decker Martin. He attended Holy Cross and graduated from Sexton High. Bill retired from Lansing Public Service.
In younger days, Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, target shooting, bowling, and golf. His happiest days were spent at the farm with friends, a bonfire, and his dog.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents. Bill's heart was broken when his son, Tommy, died in 2001. The pieces turned to ash when his son, David, died in 2013. The ashes were blown away when his sister, Sandy Husted, died in 2019.
Bill is survived by his wife, Janet; step-kids, Mari Belle and Raleigh Schneider; brothers, Brian (Ellen), Steve (Mia), and Kevin Martin; nephews; nieces; and many cousins.
There will be no service. Those wishing may make contributions to the Humane Society.
