Walter Ernest Martin

Walter Ernest Martin, was born to Betty Martin-Yeboah & Walter Ernest Smith Jr, August 8, 1974 in Lansing, MI. Walter known as “Walt” was the eldest of 5 children. Walter received his primary education from the Lansing School District. He did labor work for GM, and later went on to develop a trade certified in Pesticide Control. Walter had a love for the great outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, playing dominos and spending time with his family and friends. He would greet you with a smile that would brighten up the room and in return you would smile back. Walter was a strong man who loved being there for others, he would give you the shirt off his back and go without. He was a true inspiration to all. He could be outspoken at times but was genuine. Walter had a kind & generous spirit and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: L.C Martin & Selena Martin, paternal grandparents: Walter & Mary Smith, brother: Ambrose P Martin, special Aunt: Mary Martin, adopted grandparents: Ameil & Josie Brown.

He leaves to cherish his legacy and memories his loving Mother Betty Martin-Yeboah, Father Walter Ernest Smith Jr., step Father: Timothy Burkholder Sr, sister: Tommeica C Martin, brothers: Quentin S Martin, Timothy L Burkholder Jr, Nephews: Markeas Waddy, Timothy L Burkholder III, Nieces: Analeesia Faith, Naomi and Maddison and special friend Cordree Lewis. He is remembered by a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
