On March 8, 2016, Terry William Barnhart peacefully passed away in Ingham County. He was born on June 18, 1947 in Lansing, Michigan to the late William and Grace (nee Miller) Barnhart. He has spent many years as a resident of Potterville, Michigan. Terry was preceded in death by his loving wife Sally Lea (nee Fedewa) Barnhart. He was the proud father to Meredith (David Stiffler) Barnhart-Smith, William (Renee) Barnhart and Susan (Phillip) Krill; and dear brother of Michael (Merry) Barnhart and the late Lloyd (Marilyn), Richard, Raymond (Wilma) Barnhart, and William Barnhart Jr. and his sisters Margie Streeter, Jacqueline (Arkie) Watters, and Donna (Al) Lownsberry. Terry was an affectionate grandpa (Papa) to Christy, Katie, Cassandra, TJ, Jonathan, and Grace. Terry is the loving uncle to Jeri Grover and the late Mark Lownsberry and many others. Terry was an operator/foreman in the sanitary water construction business. He was known to be the best operator/foreman in the Lansing area. He also worked for his brother Lloyd in sanitary-water construction for many years before starting his own sand and gravel construction business in 1984, which his daughter, Meredith continues to operate. He recently enjoyed a trip to Alaska with his grandson TJ and a family vacation to Branson, Missouri. Terry loved watching old TV shows, NASCAR races on Sunday afternoons and seeing his grandchildren. He was known for his business sense and sponsorship to a car at the race track. He couldn’t be any prouder of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.
The visitation services for Terry Barnhart will be on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 3 to 6 pm and Monday, March 14, 2016 from 12:30 to 1:30 with a funeral at 1:30 at Gorsline Funeral Home and interment at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
