Suren A. Sarkisov

Suren Arsenovich Sarkisov, age 83, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away Monday, March 6, 2017. He was born September 1, 1933 in Baku, Azerbaijan the son of Arsen and Maria (Esayan) Sarkisov.

Suren was a civil engineer during the Soviet Union. He cherished his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed learning history, public speaking and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Svetlana Shadunts, children Marina Kasparyan, and Elina Sarkisova; granddaughters, Elena Kasparyan (Garso Kaparatyan), Lilit Kasparyan (Mgher) and Anna Scates (Phillip); great grandchildren Valery Kaparatyan, Vladmir Kaparatyan, Sergey Kaparatyan, Jasmine Scates, and David Scates.

The visitation will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:30am with service following at 1:00pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave, Lansing. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5401 N. Michigan Road- M99 Dimondale.
