SueAnn Earley, 70, of Lansing, died on Monday night, June 5, 2023 at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital in East Lansing. She was born on May 10, 1953 in Defiance, OH and was the daughter of James and Mary Ann (Potts) May. When she was nine, SueAnn, along with her brother and two sisters, were fostered by their cousin Marion "Pat" Weimer and her husband Harvey "Fritz" who raised the four children as their own. She was a graduate of Inland Lakes High School in Indian River. She went on to explore a nursing degree at North Central Michigan College where she met and married Gary Earley in June of 1973 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Petoskey. SueAnn moved to the Lansing area in 1978. She raised her 6 children within the Catholic School tradition with persistence and dedication to their education. All moved on to earn degrees in higher education. She was a custodian of Lett's Bridal, a long time member of the Church of the Resurrection, and a volunteer in many capacities over the years. She enjoyed sewing baby blankets and clothing for her children including baptismal gowns for all her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, foster father, brother James, sisters Alice and Kathy, half brother David, children Michelle and Danny, and grandchildren Melissa Ann and Hadriel. In addition to her husband of 50 years, she is survived by 3 daughters, Suzanne (Dale) Earley Wood, Charlene (Bill) Dehn, Catherine (Wade) Warnecke, 3 sons Andrew, Abraham (Helen), and Anthony (Angela), her seven beloved grandchildren ACE, Morgan, Logan, Rita, Frances, Dean, and Jude, her foster mother, her sisters Wilma and Wendy, half siblings Raymond and Mary, brother-in-law Joe (Georgiana) Earley, nieces Patricia and Megan, and nephews Jason, Robert and Joshua as well as various cousins and great nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Church of the Resurrection, 1506 E. Michigan Ave. In Lansing on June 12th, 2023 at 10:00 followed by the funeral mass starting at 11:00. All are invited to a funeral luncheon in Mercy Hall. (In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in SueAnn's honor to the Multiple Sclerosis Association or to the Church of the Resurrection School.
