Steven S. Pierce

Steven Stanley Pierce, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 30, 2018 at the age of 66. Steve was born on March 5, 1952 in Lansing, MI. Steve attended St. Therese elementary school and graduated from Sexton High School in 1970 where he was a member of the varsity football team. Steve established and operated Sectional Garage Door Company for over 35 years. He loved to explore the great lakes region with his family and spent his free time camping, hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a member of the Lansing Knights of Columbus for several years, and enjoyed the KC golf outings. He coached little league soccer, basketball, and volleyball, and loved being a part of the Grand Ledge community. He was an avid Michigan State football and basketball fan; he loved to tailgate and attend the MSU games. He had an exuberant personality, a booming laugh, and he treasured his family and friends. You may have met Steve in passing as he spoke and joked with just about anyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Marcella (Fedewa) and Donald K Pierce, and his wife Mary Ann (Bauer) Pierce. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Loiner) Pierce; son, Nicholas; daughter, Laura (Josh) Karslake; step-son, Phil Boughton; granddaughter, Cora Ann Pierce; brothers, Ron (Cindy), David; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Chancey, Pat Flint, Fran (Tony) Fortuna, Elaine (Bob) LaFave, Renie (Bob) Woodard, Joanne (Ron) Davids; brothers-in-law, Joe (Patty) Lonier, Larry (Kris) Lonier, Richard (Julie) Bauer, Mike (Dianne) Bauer; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many close cousins.

Funeral Service will be on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at St. Gerard Catholic Church 4437 W. Willow Lansing, Michigan at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at 10 a.m.
