Shelby Wilburn

Shelby Louis Wilburn III, affectionately known as "Bob," was born on August 19, 1964, and peacefully passed away on December 27th, 2023. Born to Shelby Wilburn and Patricia Kaye Beauchamp, Shelby dedicated many years of his life to maintaining and fixing the machines that brought the sweet joy of donuts to the greater Lansing area at Quality Dairy's bakery building.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Shelby found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. A devoted family man, he cherished his time up north fishing with his brother, Mike, and sister-in-law, Billie Jo. His enthusiasm for NASCAR led him to attend races at MIS, where he reveled in the excitement of the track. Notably, Shelby had a fondness for sipping on his signature apple pie, adding a personal touch to every gathering.

Shelby's versatility and mastery of many trades made him a valuable presence in the lives of those around him. His warm spirit, shared laughter, and genuine kindness will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Shelby was preceded in death by his parents, Shelby Wilburn and Patricia Kaye Beauchamp, as well as his sister, Kathy Jackson. He is survived by his siblings Mike Wilburn (Billie Jo), Bill Wilburn (Heidi), brother-in-law Spud Jackson, and a large extended family, including many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In celebration of Shelby's life, let us remember the laughter he brought, the love he shared, and the indelible mark he leaves on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend. May he rest in eternal peace.
