Age 19, died July 24, 2010; born October 22, 1990 in Lansing, MI. Shayla graduated in 2008 from Holt High School with honors. She loved shopping and was successful at everything she did. Shayla had hundreds of friends who loved her very much. She is survived by her mother, Lori Black; father, Mark A Johnson; step-mother, Tracy Smith Johnson; brother, Anthony Johnson; sister, Jillian Johnson; grandparents, Barbara (Steve) Clark, Nancy Humpolak, Alvin (Brenda) Johnson and Dennis (Helen) Smith; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 29, 1:00 PM at Holt High School , 5885 Holt Road, Holt, MI with the Rev. William H. Fineout officiating. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
