Sally Sue Smith

Sally Sue Smith, 66, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 in Lansing, Michigan. She was born to James and Barbara (Martin) Merrill in Lansing on January 7, 1954. She loved to fish (especially when there was action on the end of her pole) and bowl. Sally was a fantastic scratch chef who could make amazing meals and desserts out of thin air.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John S. Smith; children, Tammy Haring, Shelly Person, David (Stacey) Haring, and James (Crystal Mead) Helmes; stepdaughter, Darci (Shawn) Sorrow; 14 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Cathy Koski and Bonnie (Mike) Bohm.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 11am at Life Christian Church, 2560 Eaton Rapids Road, Lansing, with a visitation one hour prior.

Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing.

In honor of Sally, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Stroke Association.
