Born November 22, 1943 in Lansing, Michigan, Ruth Ann Keyton, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 17, 2015 due to natural causes. She was the daughter of the late Helmi VanCamp and preceded in death by three sisters, Kaye Kahl (Doug), Linda and Kristine. Ruth, (AKA Ruthie or Grams), was the matriarch of the family! She had a giving spirit and big heart. She loved her family and always put others first. She was selfless and loyal to a fault. Her house was always open to everyone that needed a safe place. She epitomized the definition of wife, mother, friend and confidante. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James T. Keyton, Sr., ten children, Tracey, Jimmy Jr., Kelley (Loomis) Peatross, Michelle Canfield, Lesley, Kerry (Lauralyn), Nikki (Vic) Radcliff, Tori, Kristopher “K.C.” (Cynthia) and Trent “T.J.”; adopted son Neal Washington and special daughter Rachel Dexter; sisters Janice (Mike) Schafer, Mary (Dean) McVeigh, Debbie (Mark) Stolze and Lori Pile; grandchildren Matthew (Lindsey), Jimmy III, Brandi, Jennifer, Michael (Thania), Corey, Darren, Jessica, Lavelle, Brianna, Baron, Kayelyn, Bishop, MaeKayla, Isaiah, Kaleigh and great-grand children Hailey, Melanie and Michael Jr.; Special Cousin John (Janice) Kangas and special friend Marge Geisken. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Trinity Church, 3355 Dunckel Rd, Lansing, MI with Pastor Louis Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Ruth Ann Keyton.
