Ruth Elizabeth Harmon

Ruth was born in Lawrenceburg, TN and moved to Michigan at age 11. She attended school at Pleasant Grove, Walter French Junior High and J.W. Sexton High. Ruth worked at REO Motors for 30 years, retiring upon closing of the factory. She then worked at John Henry Printing Co. until retiring in 1989. Ruth traveled throughout the United States with her friend, Elmer Simon, in his motor home. She loved to travel and review the tapes of their travels. Ruth enjoyed gardening, flowers, golf, fishing, reading and attending the REO retiree's annual reunion. In her later years, Ruth resided in Arbor Woods Assisted Living until their closing, then at Mission Point Health in Jackson, MI.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents: Louie and Tillie (Kobeck) Harmon; special friend: Elmer Simon; and brother: James Harmon. She is survived by several cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 2pm at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
